This isn't a question but I died and was revived in 2011 and spent a week in a coma afterwards. Upon reawakening a friend gave me John Dies At The End. I read it while recovering in the hospital, pondering what everything meant. That book really helped me get through a really weird, dark, confusing time in my life. It was as trippy as I wanted and and funny as I needed. I just wanted to say thanks for that book?

Everybody else who sees this post, don't email me asking for the same unless you've also been in a coma and/or died. This is something I only do in special circumstances and even then it takes me weeks to get around to it. Either way I'm glad you recovered.

Was Will based on, or inspired by anyone fictional or otherwise? He reminded me a lot of Byakuya Togami from the Danganronpa series, & I wound up hearing his voice when reading Will's dialogue in my head. I would be really surprised if there is an actual connection to this considering the series I'm referencing is a somewhat obscure Visual Novel video game series. Thought I'd ask though. Great Character nonetheless!
