I was wondering, how did you feel about the movie Ella Enchanted? Were you disappointed at all? What was your opinion of the actors who were casted and the way they wrote the script? What would you have done differently? (Personally, I hated the movie. Gag.)

Gail Carson Levine I like the movie, although it's very different from the book. Most important, it's brought a lot of readers to the book.

I read Ella when it first came out and then several times more since then. When I heard the movie was based on the story I was very excited that my mom would finally be able to see one of my favorite stories(she can't read). However I was sorely disappointed. How did you feel about how they destroyed the the strong character of Ella and spoiled the romance of the relationship between Ella and Charamont?
