I saw in your answer to another question that you are working on a sequel(ish) to The Lost Kingdom of Bamarre which I literally just finished. I was wondering if it might have any references to what happens in New Lakti after The Lost Kingdom of Bamarre? Or, if the book you are working on doesn't mention it, if you had some idea of the further history of the kingdom that just didn't get written.

I was, and it was about New Lakti after LOST KINGDOM, but I've put it aside, at least temporarily. I became fascinated by 15th century Spain and the expulsion of the Jews in 1492, so I'm working on a historical novel. I do hope to get back to New Lakti, though.

Hello! :D I'm a fellow lover and reader of fairy tales. I really enjoy the way you spin them into such exciting and original novels. I especially enjoy how you have adapted some lesser-known ones like in "For Biddle's Sake". My favorite fairy tale ("The Twelve Huntsmen") is also more of a hidden gem. :) I was curious if there are any other fairy tales you are considering using for inspiration. If so, which ones?

Hi! I just wanted to write you a quick note to tell you that I love your books. Ella Enchanted is one of my very favorite books. I first read it around 4th grade, and I've reread it every year or two since then (and I'm 26 now!). I love your heroines, your wit, and your enchanting storytelling. I just wanted to say thank you! My question: Which of your books was the most difficult or time-consuming to write?

Would you return to the world of Ella Enchanted again if you did have another story? I'd love reading about Ella as Court Linguist, traveling, dealing with more magic, dealing with threats to the kingdom, or even her kids (I'd prefer more about Ella but learning about her kids would definitely be neat too).
