Courtney asked Gail Carriger:

Ms. Carriger, you are a seasoned Con attendee and cosplayer. I helped with a local convention's first Emergency Cosplay Repair Booth and I'm asking to run the next one. What would your ideal Cosplay Repair Booth have on offer? And if Lord Akeldama wanted to add anything, I always relish his input as well!

Gail Carriger Quick thoughts:

Sewing repair kit
Many colored ribbons inc grosgrain and binding tape
Free hand sticher is nice
Sewing machine and surger?
Hot glue gun
Hat pin blanks
All size safety pins, diaper pins are good too
Clear nail polish (fixes runs in nylon, stop a seam from fraying)
Stain remover (I like those tide pens)
Fabrise or other smell remover
Fuse (iron on for fixing delicate fraying materials, used often in vintage)
Iron
Steamer
Scissors in all shapes and sizes including kitchen sheers
Buttons
A kitchen blow torch for melting if you have a serious costumers con who use plastics and metals
For fun, badge ribbon blanks & sharpies
I'd also create a badge ribbon to hand out to people who used your services like: "I got fixed!" or something.
That's all I got for now!
Best of luck, and what a fun thing to be doing!
~ Gail
