Goodreads asked Stuart E. Elwell:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Stuart E. Elwell Write about what you are passionate about. Write when and wherever the creativity flows from within, but give your brain chance to forget it for a while when you have done all you can do for the day. Instead move on to another section, or something else, then come back to it with a fresh mind and perspective. Often you'll want to change it for the better or be inspired to expand upon it. If you work hard, the writing will take on its own evolvement and you'll wonder where it all came from.
