Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

B.R. Turnage Forced Labor is a prequel of the Mor'a'stani Chronicles (in progress). In the Mor'a'stani Chronicles, one character, Santir owns a bar and restaurant where he prepares meals. As I came to know more about Santir I had to ask, "but where did he learn how to cook?" In crafting the story of Arekan traveling to Karn I thought it would be interesting to put Arekan and Santir together, two different, but parallel sides to the same coin. I thought it was a nice touch to have Arekan teach Santir how to cook showing in one way the lasting effects Arekan had on the people of the Windshadow Complex.
