That's really hard to achieve in romance, unless, I guess the hero and heroine already know each other. I think it would be easier to pull off in a novella than a full-length book. I never actually start out with an idea of how many days a story will run in story-time. These things just happen the way they happen for me.

An actual question now: Perhaps you've already done this, but if you could give Sparks from 'What a Lady Desires' a romance, that would be super! Phrased as a question: Would you ever give a geek like Sparks a romance? Hopefully with a fellow scientist / geek (I'm thinking a female version of Darwin mixed with Katherine Hepburn from Bringing up Baby)?
