Eloisa! When I met you a few years ago, I loved hearing about your life as a Shakespeare scholar. Which "hat" do you enjoy wearing more? NYT Bestselling author or professor? (Also would love some info on upcoming projects!)

Eloisa James I honestly don't prefer either one: I'm so lucky to have two professions I love! What happens is that I go back and forth. Right now I am so lucky to have two classes of freshmen, both Shakespeare & Popular Culture, whom I like so much. We're having terrific discussions. That gives me a happy place to go when the author job is stressful, as it has been in the last few weeks. It's wonderful to hit the NYT bestseller list (#^-hurrah!!), but tours are exhausting, and so is managing expectations. Starting Friday, though, I get to write. I'm working on Seven Minutes in Heaven, a sequel to Four Nights, and loving my characters. So there's that ahead of me. Plus, I'm mapping out a novella for Cedric, from My American Duchess. Lots to do while wearing both hats!
