Goodreads asked Philip Dodd:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Philip Dodd When the intensity of writing something slackens, rather than try to force more words onto the page, I accept that my last remaining brain cell has exhausted itself, so I put down my pen and close my notebook. The brain drains dry sometimes. It cannot be helped. I do not really experience writer's block, just dry spells, which I know will end when I am inspired to write again one day.
