A Goodreads user asked Mark Lawrence:

The Spanish translator changed "Prince of Thorns" into "Prince of Evil" and "The Broken Empire Trilogy" into "The Blood Trilogy". What do you think about these changes? Did they asked your opinion?

Mark Lawrence Lots of foreign publishers changed the title, and none of them ever asked me, no. I haven't liked any of the changes. It seems to me that the publishers think they will get more sales with something generic like evil/darkness but it has nothing to do with the text and gives a poor impression of the books. 'Thorns' is more intriguing and connects to the story.

Where the titles have been changed the books have sold less well.

I have read both trilogies. I really enjoyed them. In Nona Grey, the scene of the test of the shield and the test of fire of the Abbess Glass was one of the most emotional moments I have read in a fantasy book. When you finished writing it, were you satisfied? Did you write it in one go? Or did you change it several times?
