Matthew Readling
The story started out as a gift for my nephew, plus I wanted to prove to myself that I could actually complete a book as I had always written much shorter prose and poetry. I was fascinated by the tortoise Tu’i Malila, her history and great age, so I took her and my nephew, and combined the two elements into the tale that it is.
