Linwood Barclay I'm sorry the book may not have made this clearer, but Broken Promise is the first in a trilogy. The second book, Far From True, will be out March 8 in North America, and part three, The Twenty-Three, is scheduled for release in November of this year. So yes, you should be puzzled. Things will start to become clearer over the course of the next two books.

Will there be any more books with the character Zack Walker? He's hilarious, and the story lines are the sort that I can see happening to someone with bad luck. Anyway, my husband and I greatly enjoy that series and would like to see it extended.
