What character was the most shocking to you in regards to behavior, his inner thoughts and dealings with love?

Christine Feehan I've had several characters shock me. The men are much more shocking than the women. They do something terrible, so much so that I want to kick them and then the heroine seems to cope with a grace I wouldn't always have. Once I called my editor and said I really, really don't like this man, but that was the way he was and in the end he redeemed himself.
