I also wonder if Gareth's story was the only one in the men's stories (Lonely Lords, True Gentlemen and Jaded Gentlemen combined) that occurred during the Napoleonic Wars, considering that several years passed before Andrew's story began. Why couldn't you have kept all their stories within the Lonely Lords series? Surely the men in the smaller series were all lonely as well.

You're absolutely correct that Gareth is the foundation swain, the guy whose story begins my Regency (ish) world, though he pre-dates Andrew by 4 years. I'm not sure what you mean by "all their stories," unless you mean fold the Windhams in with the other dozen or so Lonelys to make a series of 20+ titles. The choices of which book to start with, what to call the series, in what order to present the books, and how many series to create from them, were not mine. There was a sense that Darius was the book to start the Lonely Lords with, so the next books to come out after him were the ones most closely relating to him. The result was both the Windhams and the Lonely Lords felt like they started in the middle--because they did--but I got voted down.

When/where did the Duke of Quimbey get married? He was/ is definitely a bachelor in book 3 of the True Gentlemen (Will’s True Wish), but in book 4, “His Lordship’s True Lady” he is referred to as besotted, happily married, etc and in Chapter 3 his duchess is hosting a musicale. Where can I read his story?

How have you gone about researching your historical novels? Aside from the typical elements of environment and society that any writer of historical fiction must address, you have dealt with fairly specific details, such as laws regarding betrothal and marriage, guardianship, and inheritance.
