I read the first few pages of this book in the store and I know I will never read it. My question is why was the girl being raped in front of the courtroom with all those people watching and doing nothing?

And ALL of US are doing nothing as this happens.
It is a hard to read book, but sexual violence is seeming, the real violence is the one we undergo by being brainwashed and manipulated in our daily lives. (less)
