Sarah Noffke Hi Jillian! Thank you for the question. I'm thrilled that you found my book intriguing. Writing this book was a brand new experience for me as a writer. It was the 8th book I'd written and I really wanted to challenge myself. I'd actually taken my daughter to the circus and that's how I got the idea for the book. Anyway, I decided that I wanted to make this book dark and mysterious, with a huge cast of characters. This proved to be a real challenge because then I had a lot more to keep track of. I also decided to change the POV to third person to really give myself some wonderful opportunities for foreshadowing. Writing this book was an ultimate pleasure. I felt like everyday I was at the circus. Magic was always around me. I miss it now that I'm done, but I'm thoroughly happy with the series. If you read, I'd love to know what you think.
