Also, if Leah was illegitimate and not an earl's daughter, surely her so-called father would've informed her rather than simply manipulate her into eloping so that he won't have to pay her dowry. Did Darius and Trent always knew the truth or only the earl did? Why couldn't her mother have told her the truth before she died? Will their sister Emily ever get her own story, or know the truth about her half-sister?
