What? Wha-Why? What is SO sad about this story? what is it that makes it such a masterpiece? Cause I see people saying that this story made them cry waterfalls, and the story sounds like a normal/if not stupid fan-fic. Should I check it out? I mean, I don't really ship Destiel, but I don't mind it....I simply don't know what to do.

Not only I don't ship Destiel but I haven't seen a single supernatural episode in my life. Though I saw some cute destiel gifs on tumblr, got curious and decided to read the most popular fiction on AO3 just for fun. Boy was I wrong about the fun expectation. By the end you will have cried rivers, you will have forgotten its fan fiction and not a well crafted book, you won't regret it.

Why is it such a masterpiece? Beautiful, poignant writing. Well paced, it builds a very romantic atmosphere before crushing you with hopelessness, and at the same time, the feeling that even if life may not always go the way it's supposed to, maybe that shouldn't crush your soul at all. To me, the message is that we should allow ourselves to grow, to move on. (less)
