Wow, I just read through the first Book the Demon cycle and I can't wait to read the second book (as soon as I finished my exams xD). My question is: in how far have you been inspired by the "real" religions, during the process of creating you "own" religion(s) in your novels? There are so many references I see (as a theology student), that I really wonder whether they are on purpose or not.

Peter V. Brett I was certainly inspired by real world religions, but not to the extent where you can really point to direct real world analogues. I used real world theology to help create believable religions people could relate to, but not to offer critiques of any specific faith.
