Found your book here in Canada on Chapter.Indigo site on Heather Reisman's List of Top 20 Novels of 2015. I loved the book! Carolyn was just so darn quirky. Also, so many times I was certain where the plot was heading...but it always went in a completely different direction. Any talk of movie rights being picked up? -Bob

Hey Bob,
Yeah, I saw that list! I wanted to send her a nice fruit basket or something, but I'm told that that's frowned upon. :-)
As far as movies...there's been talk, but I'm not supposed to talk about it. I honestly don't have a feel for whether it will ever happen or not. Hollywood is kind of its own thing and I've got only the vaguest idea of how things work out there.
That said, the wife and I love to play fantasy casting. Here's what we've got so far:
Steve - James Franco.
Carolyn - ?
Erwin - Ed Harris. (See also Ray Liotta, below).
David - I like Carl Urban (Judge Dredd / Dr. McCoy) but my wife Heather is pushing for The Rock because she has the hots for The Rock. I could see it working either way. My father-in-law likes Ray Liotta. I think Goodfellas-era Liotta would be a good choice--he certainly could do the insane laugh--but he might be getting a bit old? He might work for Erwin though.

I'm about half way through The Library at Mount Char and starting the book has been the best decision I've made recently. I really cannot put it down. A sequel or a second novel will be really appreciated:) I always prefer reading the book rather than watching the movie, so don't get me wrong, but I was wondering if there will be any movies or maybe animations (or just something visual) based on the novel?

Hi, Scott! I just finished reading Mt. Char, and it was definitely an experience like no other! I did have a question though - it was a hilariously macabre image that Carolyn had Steve’s heart in a Ziploc in the fridge. But then later on, there a couple specific mentions of Steve’s heart pounding in his chest, and the one in the Ziploc is never mentioned again. When did he get his heart back? Or was that just a spare?
