What does "A spiritual sequel to The Man In The High Castle"? can I read this as a stand alone or do I have to read The Man In The High Castle first?

Jeff As Danvic Aguilar said, not a literal/linear sequel. The tone and settings is pretty similar and as the author said, it is a great book.
