Why doesn't Inspector Gamache like Yvette Nichol? What exactly did she do wrong?

She's a very green rookie is all I can say.

However, Jean Guy and Chief Inspector Gamache have the kind of relationship from years of working together, and that is going to be a little tough to break in to. Jean Guy also seemed to be a little leery of her.

I love the character of Jean Guy Beauvoir so far. Yvette does seem only concerned with herself, how she appears to her boss, and advancement.(less)
