I am working on a new fairytale-infused historical novel about the Pre-Raphaelite circle of artists and poets in mid-Victorian England. To me, Bitter Greens, The Beast's Garden, and The Wild Girl seem like they fit nicely into one subgenre of historical fiction while your children series seem like a totally different entity. Do you feel that way or do you think of those three and your children's books as one canon, if you will?
