Dear Mr. Shan I have been following your work for 13 years and I am a very big fan. Your books shaped the best years of my teenagerhood and they still continue to cheer me up. My question is about Larten Crepsley, by far the best character to ever exist! Is he based on a real person? or is he a work of your imagination?

How did you feel when you killed Kurda? I remember crying. He was one of my favorite vampires in the whole series. And what about Darren? How could you make yourself kill him off? He was soo amazing! - BTW; I loved the conclusion to the series either way, thank you for your work.
