Write and believe. I know it sounds horribly simplistic and these exact sentiments have been said over and over, but it's true. In order to be a writer you must write and above all else you must believe in whatever it is you're writing. Write what makes you happy and be sure to write what makes you sad. Push yourself and believe in yourself.
