Peter V. Brett Really, they are all excellent. I would start with Black Sun Rising, the first of the Coldfire trilogy, or Feast of Souls, the first of the Magister trilogy. She has also done some excellent Sci Fi. This Alien Shore is amazing.

I really enjoyed the series, now one question is bugging me: Will there be a book where the characters venture outside of Thesa into other lands/kingdoms? I would love to know about the state of the rest of Ala.
