Elena-Loredana
Elena-Loredana asked Sylvain Reynard:

Gabriel's Inferno appeared on my goodreads recommendations list. I was attracted by the word Inferno and the mention of Dante since I am an Italian/Roman culture lover and I had an Italian lit class where we talked and read Dante. My point is: How did you come up with the idea? What made you imagine (and which were) the first sparks of Gabriel's Inferno story line?

Sylvain Reynard Hello Elena,
Thanks for your question.

I, too, enjoy Italian literature and culture and have always been captivated by the story of Dante and Beatrice. But that story isn't widely read outside of literature classes. I wanted to introduce the story to a wider audience and so I came up with the idea of a modern retelling.

All the best and Happy New Year,
SR
