Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

James Mullins I've always had a passion for Byzantine history. The struggles they faced on a constant basis from all sides we're daunting. To survive those challenges for a thousand years was an amazing feet. I want my readers to see them as I see them and appreciate their culture and the challenges they faced. To that end I combined an element of popular culture that I love Zombies and introduce them to the 7th Century Byzantines. The results we're fun to write!
