Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

James Mullins There are two fictional couples that deserve honorable mention before I make my selection Carmon Majare & Tika Wayland and Tanis and Laurana. Both couples were featured in Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman's epic Dragon Lance Chronicles series. Both couples featured an older more experienced male and a young and inexperienced female member. What was exciting was how both of the ladies, during the course of the story, grew tremendously and became heroes in their own right. Overall, my favorite fictional couple is Terry Goodkind's Richard Cypher and Kahlan Amnell. They were first featured in his debut novel Sword of Truth. Their love, tempered in the fires of adversity across a dozen plus novels epitomizes a loving and supportive couple.
