What do you like best about being an author? What do you like least about it?

Shannon Messenger The best part is getting to watch the stories in my head come to life as I write them down--and then getting to see readers react to it all.

The worst part are deadlines. Writing is a lot of work. And delivering a book as long as mine are on such a tight schedule means I don't get to sleep nearly as much as I'd like.

I just read it may be easier to ask a question here than Tumblr! (So you don't have to answer mine if you get to it months from now!) So are registry pendants all white/clear since colored crystals leap to other areas (ex. Blue-forbidden cities, green-ogre cities)?
