Sophie
Sophie asked Shannon Messenger:

Alright, I have a slightly confusing question I bet no one else has asked yet. So, for and example, with Sophie and Fitz, when Sophie is thinking about Lord Cassius, what perspective does Fitz hear? I mean, does he hear 'Fitz's stare looks like Lord Cassius's,' or does he hear, 'Your stare looks like Lord Cassius's.'? Thank you for clearing that up!

Shannon Messenger You're right--no one has asked that question. And I'm not sure if my answer will be any less confusing.

But try to think of your own thoughts in your own head. If you were looking at Lord Cassius's creepy smile, how would your brain phrase it? When I ask myself that question, I know I wouldn't bother thinking his name, since my thoughts aren't usually in complete sentences. And I definitely wouldn't think "you" since I wouldn't think anyone was listening to me. So I'd probably think something like, "Ugh, his smile is so creepy." and if Fitz were listening that's what he would hear, and he'd know what/who I was talking about because he'd see who I was looking at.

Hope that helps.
