I note that Gentleman Jole and the Red Queen is available for pre-order on Amazon (done), but no Kindle version. Is a Kindle version planned? I haven't quite given up on "real" books (I still get hardcovers from my favorite authors, among whom you are included) but my preferred method of reading these days is on my iPad. I don't process verbal communication very well, so audiobooks are of no use to me.

Yes, I was told the e-version is supposed to go up at the time of its release. I do not know why there is not a page or pre-order option for the e-book. So, Real Soon Now, but not quite yet. (The e-version will also be available at www.baenebooks.com , when the eARC comes down.)
A bit later: I asked of Baen, and got this expansion:
"The ebooks do not go on sale on Amazon as pre-orders. They are all put up on the 16th of the month prior to publication.
It is available now as a partial at Baen Ebooks, so your readers can even get started if they want. The entire download will become available on January 16.

All ebooks purchased at Baen Ebooks are perfectly capable of being read on the Kindle. There are various ways to do it, but the easiest by far is just to use the book’s sales page to email it to your Kindle. I am a Kindle guy, and I do this all the time. There are instructions there on the page when you sign in with a Baen Ebooks account. It’s very easy to do.
Otherwise, the ebook will be for sale January 16, 2016 on Amazon and other ebook sources including iBooks, Kobo, B&N, etc."

Loois, do you keep track of loose ends you have left behind from each story as you go? (in a list or spreadsheet or some-such)., so that you can glance over the list at some point and say to yourself, "Oh yes, that fits in well with what I'm wondering about now". Or possibly simply have a sense for unfinished business with certain people or situations that may necessitate re-reading before writing further?

I am catching up on last year's entries in the Penric and Desdemona series and am enjoying the pair's adventures in Lodi. Coincidentally, I came across this article today about clocks shedding chaos from ScienceNews: https://bit.ly/2SqTZkT. And of course I thought of our favorite sorcerer of the Bastard's Order. I wonder if Pen or Des would find it amusing?

Sorry about question below, character limit. Presumably deaths normally occur at a more or less steady rate, then there’s a war & sudden upsurge in violent/traumatic deaths, do the gods recognize that as war? Unless upswings in the death count in one part of the world get evened out worldwide? As the gods can’t comprehend boundaries, how aware are they that one of their favorites may be causing all that carnage?
