Thank you for writing "The Short and Tragic life of Robert Peace." I finished it yesterday and today I am going back over it. I cannot shake it and Rob from my mind. I teach students who remind me of him and the message you share is extremely powerful. I had been delaying finishing the book for some time since I knew the ending. Thank you for spending so much time on this book and sharing his story?

Hi and thank you for reaching out with such tremendously kind words--it means a lot, particularly coming from an educator. So sorry for the years-long delay in responding. I really don't spend time on social websites but am trying to be better about that, as my next book called Show Them You're Good comes out in August, about young men in different neighborhoods finishing high school and aspiring for college. I mention that only to say that I admire teachers and the work you do so much, and I wish you all the very best, sincerely, Jeff

I have a few questions but they won’t fit here so will ask each separately. My first is about Skeet Douglas. I tried to find info but only found his post conviction ruling. Do you believe he was guilty. Things were way too sketchy to me. The survivor’s story and waiting, etc. As we all know, most cops are good but being set up happens and it seems things were too convenient for someone that seemed very intelligent?

Hi Jeff, I just finished The Short And Tragic Life of Robert Peace, and I must applaud you as it was a fantastic read, made me stop and think often about Robert, and those in a similar situation to him. My question is this: is there any update on Robert's case? Has the case gone cold or has it been looked into since publication? Additionally, do you have any updates on Jackie, the Burger Boyz, and other characters?
