Dear Mr. Hobbs, I just finished your book and can tell you that it will haunt me for a long time. Your tireless effort to tell Rob’s story is an incredible testament to your friendship. I can’t even begin to imagine the ongoing grief that continues with all of Rob’s family and friends. Can you tell me what house is on the cover of the book? It doesn’t seem to be the house on Chapman or Smith. Thank you.
Jeff Hobbs
Hello, thank you so much for the kind words--it means a lot to think that Rob continues to impact people for the better. Sorry for the delay--I really am not on social sites at all, but I'm trying to do more lately as my next book, called Show Them You're Good, comes out in August. Anyway, I'm very grateful. The house on the cover is the property on Greenwood Avenue that he owned during the last few years of his life (it's not actually his suitcase in the photo--he was carrying it for a friend). Sincerely, Jeff

Hi Jeff, I just finished The Short And Tragic Life of Robert Peace, and I must applaud you as it was a fantastic read, made me stop and think often about Robert, and those in a similar situation to him. My question is this: is there any update on Robert's case? Has the case gone cold or has it been looked into since publication? Additionally, do you have any updates on Jackie, the Burger Boyz, and other characters?

Jeff, just want to thank you for your dedication to sharing this story and doing so in such a beautiful way. I've had the most emotional response to this book, greater than anything I've ever read. In the time that has passed since the book was published, how have your feelings about Rob's life, tragic events death, and still unsolved murder evolved? Is there anything you would change about how you told his story?

Hello Jeff my name is D and I have a couple of things to say to you. Let's start with I mean this in a very respectful way possible, but why did you make this book? What did you want to gain from making this book? (respectfully). Because I feel and this is an opinion but I feel like a black person should be telling this story of Robert. like you gave us insight but you didn't inform us on who Robert really is.
