Gail Carriger Huh. A present I don't plan on that. It's kinda fun working with mortals again and the spirit of Rue's crew is so much more fast and jolly and immediate than is allowed by the perspective of immortality. Although Miss S adds something nice to the mix.

I'm not ruling it out, mind you. Sometimes characters metamorphose on me without me planning it. You know peril, near death, yadda yadda.

SPOILER ALERT for Parasol Protectorate

For example: Biffy was a total surprise (I had originally intended to kill him - I know, I know, I've learned my lesson). Ivy was not, I knew her path as soon as she took to the stage. Anyway, sorry to give such a waffle of an answer.

Hi Gail, I ended up trying the Parasol Protectorate, Finishing school and Prudence this year. I adore your books! I also loved Marine Biology, which I wish was much longer! I love that you include same sex relationships, I love Lyall and Biffy and hope to find out what happens to them maybe? And also hope you might write a full length book someday in the future featuring a same sex couple as the main?
