Is Angela Misri a pseudonym? What is your opinion concerning the benefit of there use?

Angela Misri No, Angela Misri is my real name. I decided to use my real name for the mysteries I write, and pseudonyms for any other genre fiction I write. According to my agent and other authors I have spoken to, publishers seem to prefer that you 'stick to your bookshelf,' unless you are a big name like JK Rowling or Stephen King where your name actually sells the book.
As a reader, if I love one of your books, I am more likely to pick up another under your name, so I don't know that I agree with the publishing industries advice yet, but I do follow it.
