Since you enjoy and recommend the anime Mushi-shi, I'm curious if there are other anime you enjoy. Do you have any other favorites? Some recent fantasy series like "Yona of the Dawn" (2014), "The Heroic Legend of Arslan" (2015) and "Snow White with the Red Hair" (2015) I found particularly enjoyable.

I just recently watched The Tale of Princess Kaguya and thought it very fine. I can also highly rec The Story of Saiunkoku, and have also liked the work of CLAMP.
I haven't had time to watch for a while, but I am always interested in recs for the better-grade stuff. (I don't have time to sort through the drek myself.)
(A quick check finds none of your recs currently on Netflix, my source, tho' they do offer a 1992 edition of Arslan. Any relation?)

Hi. Before Captain Vorpatrils Alliance was published, it was released and sold as an e-arc. I gathered at the time that was a bit of an experiment. Did that work out for you? Is that some thing you would consider doing with future releases? Assuming you have a say in such things, of course. I, for one, will buy anything you care to publish. Thank you. -Daiv

A lot of quotes from your books come to my mind fairly often (I didn't vote for him), but the one I find most profound is at the end of Brothers. Miles - "Straight-Up good guys and bad guys". Elli - "Great, which are we?". Was this just a fun line or did you see it as much deeper like I do? I watch a lot of violent fiction (bad CIA etc) and find it very discouraging for there to be so many real conflicts now

In your description of Miles' clothing, you often use the words jacket and tunic, like in A Civil Campaign when he shows Ekaterin the little admiral, His mercenary uniform has a jacket but his Auditor's grey suit has a tunic. You especially refer to Barrayaran uniforms as having tunic tops. I always read tunic and see sleeve-less and long to the mid-thigh, but that can't be right. How do you envision the tunic tops?
