I'm still puzzled about twist at the end of the book. The part when the scientist said something about "we found TWO ANSWERS." Does it have anything to do with the piece of information about anglerfish at the last page? Someone pls explain I'm dying to know

Which was never described or mentioned in any detail.

There's going to be a new book called Into the Drowning Deep in 11/2017, hopefully that'll have more answers.(less)
