Hey David! I've read most of your stuff, even the reddit AMAs where you talked about how you saw the world as a kid. My question is, if everything about yourself and your upbrining had been the same, except for the fact that you had been crazy-super-good looking instead, how would your life be different? Would you still be writing the same stuff? Probably a super weird question... sorry...

I don't think so, but I don't want to restrict this to looks, either. It wouldn't be the same if I had been rich, it wouldn't be the same if I hand't been white, or heterosexual, etc. Each of us are raised in a bubble. I like to think my worldview was more effected by my inability to talk to people, rather than my lack of handsomeness. But who knows. I had it better than some kids and worse than others.

Jason, In the last two JDatE books Dave has had some pretty serious misanthropic rage that's occasionally led to him suddenly/violently lashing out. Is that going to inform his character arc in the final book or is it more like an aspect of his personality that makes Dave "Dave"? Keep it up with the writing, FVaFS was amazing. Congrats on its award.

Any dream casting for this story you'd be willing to share? Dead or alive, whatever. I can't imagine I'm alone in picturing Will as Will Arnett (but, like, serious); Armondo is Michael Pena (Ant-Man's buddy); Wu is a random criminal from an episode of The Shield; Budd was David Koechner; Molech was a less hilarious Carrtottop. So who are yours? Especially Zoe, but ESPECIALLY Andre.
