Art ofHYPE asked Christopher Rice:

Have you ever blatantly fashioned a character in one of your novels after someone you intensely dislike, in a somewhat vindictive manner? If so, how did that play out?

Christopher Rice Hmmmm. Not really. Editors always council writers to change either the gender or some other major defining characteristic of a character if that character is based heavily on someone we despise. My characters, the good ones and the bad ones, are, for the most part, amalgamations of people. And so the real identities get mixed up in the brew, if you will.
