Is it true that when appearing on very serious workshop panels with Alyssa Day and Elizabeth Hoyt you sometimes bring the tone of the whole thing down by scribbling improbably x-rated cartoons on napkins?

Kristan Higgins Well...yes and no. Yes to the x-rated cartoons. No to the "bring the tone down," since the tone is pretty low to begin with.

I love that your stories always contain a mix of family members. What I mean is there are biological, half siblings, neighbor kids that stay in the picture and extended grandma, grandpa, etc. I am curious about your own background? ( I come from a very mixed background. We take in all strays ha!)
