How do you deal with writer’s block?

Dave Vizard When I hit a wall while writing, I try not to let it stop me. I just pick the story up in another place where I am ready to write. Continuing the creative process in another place sometimes sparks an idea that opens a window that releases the block. I also come from a newspaper background. Writing on deadline with a sweating, drooling, heaving editor standing over you means you find a way past writer's block - or look for another job.
