Kellyn Roth Because Skye and Jeffery were made for each other!
Kat Thomas No way - Batty and Jeffrey. Both love music and there has been a lot of foreshadowing...
mairiachi Some people think Batty and Jeffrey. I just want to point out - 1. Batty says Jeffrey is like an older brother 2. Jeffrey sees Batty as a younger sister 3. He is her mentore 4. They're 7 years apart. All of this has been pointed out, but everyone seems to forget that Jeanne Birdsall said she was writing this based off of Little Women, but this time she was going to write it the way it was supposed to be written. Which means Batty and Jeffrey (Amy and Laurie) do not get together and Skye and Jeffrey (Jo and Laurie) do. She also said her readers would not be disappointed. If I were disappointed, it would be because Skeffrey didn't happen. I know I'm not answering your question, but here's an answer: because Jeffrey is (I think) everybody's favorite character (if not Nick) and Skye is everyone's third favorite (because Nick is second). So of course they have to get together, is what everyone's saying. Just wondering, have you read all the books?
Emma Florence It is kind of obvious that Skye was not going to leave him forever. She was just not ready at the moment. That is all. You know Skye. Her temper gets the best of her!!

Eli skye should be gay
Chloe I agree. I'm rooting for Jane and Jeffery.
Eka I think that the timing just wasn't right in the last book, so that's why Skye turned hime down. Also it's probably Rosalind and Tommy's wedding and I kind of hope Cagney is there!
Anna Because you can't stop shipping. It also hints that she might like him back, which makes me- er, half the fandom super happy, and because their so cute together.
Pixie Ok, I'm sorry but now that I've read this book I have to warn you - there is like NO Skeffrey in this book. Honestly - please do NOT get your hopes up
Iley jeffrey is a main charecter, he has to be in it and plus why not?
Jeana Laurie Yeah take it from me, she likes him.
rainbow unicorn They were the ones that first met in Arundel all those years ago.... He expressed his feelings for him, she's the one that got to visit him.. It was all there but Birdsall abandoned it.
Jo I'd be really surprised if this was about Skye and Jeffery marrying each other at Arundel.
a) There wasn't even a seed of hope planted for those two being a couple at the end of the book - it would be a big "out of nowhere" story line to me. More sense for Tommy/Rosalind getting married.
b) Arundel would surely be the last place Jeffery would want to get married! His relationship with his mother and stepfather is terrible, they HATE the penderwicks, and he'd want his dad there, so why on earth would he pick there of all places??!?!
I agree with you totally - I don't understand the Skeffery thing at all - it would be a massive departure from everything JB has set up in the previous four books.
cameron spiderwick personally, i don't ship jeffrey with any of the sisters and i think of skye as being on the aro/ace spectrum (also lesbian skye would be amazing)
Eva B. Because some people don't seem to realize that this is a book about family, and not about making their OTP sail.
