Bill Bowyer
Bill Bowyer asked Marita A. Hansen:

I see you "lost all of your senses" with your past career and became a writer. Was there a key moment when you realized that writing was what you wanted to do?

Marita A. Hansen The key moment was seeing a splatter of black on a white canvas win a prize at one of the art shows I had my work in. I was sick of the pretentiousness of the art world with the way it revered abstract art over realism and other artworks that required skill. So, I turned to my other passion - writing. However, I was an academic writer of non-fiction, so had to learn the ropes of fiction, which took a while.
