Goodreads asked Bentz Deyo:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Bentz Deyo Writer’s block suffocates the confidence you have in your abilities; therefore, to battle it, you must breathe life into your work to keep it from dying. When Writer’s block attacks me, I try to tell myself to get three sentences down, even if they reek of garbage, even it takes five brutal hours, if only to let that freaking Writer Block guy know that I’m not giving up. Three meager sentences? Don’t run and tell the neighbors, but it’s fine, that’s three sentences I don’t need to write tomorrow. As long as a writer keeps breathing (writing), his best work and his confidence will come back with vengeance and he’ll be armed with a fabulous weapon that he mightn’t yet have attained: that he will never fully be defeated.
