. As for when they will be available elsewhere, it really depends a bit on how fast or slow the hardcover sales go. In general, paperbacks become available 6 months to 12 months after the hardcover is released. I'm not anticipating a second printing of them so the real question is how long will it take to sell out 5,000 copies (or maybe 4,500 or something like that).
The one really good thing, is Amazon and B&N.com are heavily discounting the hardcover at the moment it's $17.45 on Amazon US which is only a few dollars more than the $14.95 paperback price.

HI! Just a quick question. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate with The Cycle and After the Fall.... and now Riyria Chronicles 6. At one point, if I recall, you had mentioned that you had a total of 8 Riyria Chronicles lined up (I think you said that each slipcase would be for 4 books). In light of all the exciting new projects, have plans for Chronicles changed, or is it still eight total?

So my friend (who started me on your books on the first place) told me you were writing a follow-up to the Riyria books, but that it wasn't going to involve Hadrian and Royce. What motivated this decision and who will it follow instead? Also: How did you come up with some of the various languages and cultures in Riyria?
