Fest was an able narrator, his books on nazism are impressively good and, if I may, I would advice you to read Inside Hitler's Bunker.
Very good too, is another book, based on the resistance to nazism during the regime, "Plotting Hitler's Death", that is the book that introduced Fest to me. (less)
