Cam Young asked Joseph Delaney:

Hi Joseph, I'very noticed in all your books there isn't a clear distinction between "good" or "evil" people (particularly Mother Malkin). I was wondering whether this was on purpose, to show that people have both good and bad in them, or whether this was completely unintentional? (maybe I'm crazy enough to sympathize the baddies). Thank you, Cam Young.

Joseph Delaney Yes you are correct because I think there is good and evil in all of us and I want my books to reflect that. So there is no clear distinction between ‘good’ and ‘evil’ characters! For example Alice struggles to be good despite her powers that come from the dark and Tom must compromise with the dark in order to survive.
