Hi, I've heard you are a Christian and when I first read your Pushing the Limits I was a wee bit baffled about how your characters conducted themselves in the latter books... So why or how did you decide to write such a story?

Hi Erica,
Yes, I am a Christian. I grew up in very tough circumstances. Between myself and my friends in my neighborhood, we went through some extremely difficult things.
Tough things happen. Sometimes you're thrown into the situation headfirst, sometimes you make bad decisions that lead you there.
I craved books when I was a teen that reflected the circumstances that I was facing because I wanted to see that someone made it out on the other side in one piece. I craved hope.
Those are the stories I write. I write very raw books that show no matter how tough the circumstances someone is facing there is always hope.
