Lizzie asked A.G. Riddle:

A friend asked if they could read Atlantis Plague without having read Atlantis Gene. I said yes, but I do not recommend it, so they are starting with book 1. I have plenty of time to read, but even when I worked and had young children at home, I couldn't imagine purposely starting a series in the middle. Maybe this is common? Have you noticed a lot more sales/readers on one book in the series?

A.G. Riddle Thanks for recommending to your friend. I don't recommend starting the series (or any series) in the middle. I think one builds a better relationship with the characters by reading from the beginning even if the plot is understandable. While I hope my future series is more self contained within each novel, I still think one would miss out on character development and plot nuances by starting in the middle.

Gene has definitely outsold the other two novels.

Thanks again,
Gerry
